Thanksgiving is almost here and my mind is already fixated upon which dessert I am going to have first :) These Apple Pie Minis are the bite-sized version of the classic full-sized apple pie! They are super easy to make and give you all of the apple pie flavors but in a size that erases the calorie guilt. Let me know in the comments below how they turn out!

What is the best dough to use for these Apple Pie Minis?

I bought a standard crescent rolls tube in the frozen aisle of my grocery store. They were incredibly easy to work with, just pop the tube and unravel the pre-cut triangle dough pieces. I have been searching for a gluten-free crescent dough but have not been able to find any. If you find one please let me know! If you can't find a healthy option, these Pillsbury Crescent Rolls are the real deal.

How can I make these apple pie minis even healthier?

If you want to make these apple pie healthier than my recipe you could do a no sugar version or swap the sugar for honey. A healthier sugar than brown sugar is coconut sugar but you might find that it is a little less sweet. I haven't experimented with liquid stevia (a plant-based sweetener) but that could be an option as well.

What other fruit could I use in these pie minis?

If you don't love apple pie, I could easily see these guys working as peach pie minis. You could keep the recipe exactly the same and swap the apple slices for peach slices. Same goes for pear if you prefer that fruit.
