You won’t believe how easy it is to make this simple, flavorful Lebanese chicken in the air fryer. All you have to do is marinate the chicken in pantry-staple seasoning and then place the pieces of chicken into the air fryer. No fuss, no muss, and the easiest dinner you’ll ever make!

The flavor of the chicken comes from the marinade, so don’t skim out on it. Plan ahead to marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes, or you’ll lose out on the flavor. Key Ingredients You Need

Ingredients needed to make air fryer Lebanese chicken.
  • Chicken — I cut up a whole chicken for this air fryer recipe. Feel free to buy chicken thighs or chicken breasts if you don’t want to break down a chicken. I like using chicken with the skin as I love the crispy skin, which helps the chicken stay moist.
  • Oil — I like to use olive oil, but you can use any neutral oil, such as avocado oil.
  • Seasoning — I season the chicken with salt, pepper, ground coriander, onion powder, cumin, and cinnamon. Make sure your spices are fresh for the best flavor.
  • Lemon juice — Skip the bottled juice and use fresh lemon juice. The flavor is much brighter, fresher, and tasty when using freshly squeezed lemon juice.

Step 5: Transfer the chicken into the air fryer basket once the chicken has finished marinating.

Tips For This Recipe

  • If there is moisture on the chicken, pat them dry with a paper towel before adding the oil and seasoning. Patting dry the chicken helps the seasoning stick much better.
  • You can easily turn this Lebanese chicken into a wrap or salad. After you air fry the chicken, allow it to rest before shredding the chicken to stuff into a warm naan or pita bread or place it overtop of a salad.
  • The easiest way to make sure the chicken is ready is by using an instant-read thermometer. The chicken should have an internal temperature of 165F. Be careful not to hit the bone when inserting the thermometer, as it’ll lead to an inaccurate read.
  • If you have time, marinating the chicken overnight makes the chicken even more flavorful.
  • When placing the Lebanese chicken into the air fryer, place them in a single layer. Avoid stacking them as the chicken will steam instead of crisp up. If your pieces of chicken are on the larger side, you can air fry them in two batches.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I store leftovers?

Allow the leftovers to cool completely, then store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. To reheat, place the chicken back in the air fryer and heat until warm.

Can I freeze this?

You can freeze the chicken before or after air frying it. After adding the chicken and marinade into the zip-top bag, freeze it for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before air frying. It’ll marinate the chicken as it thaws. ??If you are freezing the recipe after cooking, cool and freeze in an airtight container for up to 2 months.
