Packed with loads of wholesome ingredients, this green dressing could also be called a green goodness dressing! I use it for almost everything as itโs not just for salads, but itโs excellent as a dip as well. Itโs my go-to dressing if I have an abundance of fresh herbs, and thanks to the blender, you can blitz it up in seconds!
If you need some ideas of what to enjoy with my goddess dressing, it tastes incredible drizzled over my Air Fryer Salmon and Air Fryer Green Beans. You definitely wonโt go back to bottled dressing after giving this recipe a try! This also pairs wonderfully with tacos like my Carne Asada Tacos.
Key Ingredients You Need
Greek yogurt โ I like to splurge a little on my yogurt and get a rich full-fat high-quality yogurt as itโs the base of the dressing. While the traditional version of this dressing uses mayonnaise and sour cream, Greek yogurt makes the dressing lighter and adds extra protein.
Fresh herbs โ This green dressing is not complete without fresh herbs! I use a combination of parsley, cilantro, basil, and chives. While in a pinch, you could use dried herbs, I highly recommend using fresh herbs for the best flavor.
How to Make Green Goddess Dressing
Step 1: To a blender, add all the fresh herbs.

Step 3: Add the Greek yogurt to the blender.
Step 4: Add olive oil to the blender.
Step 5: Add lemon juice to the blender.
Step 6: Pulse until everything is combined and creamy.
Tips For This Recipe
- For a spicier dressing, you can add some deseeded jalapeรฑo.
- If you would like for this salad dressing to be vegan-friendly or dairy-free, you can use cashew cream in place of Greek yogurt.
- To make this thicker, add more Greek yogurt. To make this thinner, add a splash or two of water.
- There is no need to remove the stems of the herbs. They are tender, flavorful, and blend into the dressing seamlessly.
- Feel free to increase or decrease the amount of herbs based on your personal preference.
Frequently Asked Questions
While I highly recommend you use fresh herbs to make this salad dressing, you could swap for dried herbs if you donโt have any fresh available. The key is to allow the dressing to sit for a while before using it so the dried herbs can rehydrate in the dressing. For every one tablespoon of fresh herbs, you need one teaspoon of dried herbs.
Store in a jar or an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. I like using mason jars for storage as they're easy to store. If the dressing separates, you can just shake it in the jar before using it. I would not recommend freezing this dressing as it wonโt thaw very nicely.ย
